William J. Blackburn Photography

Welcome to my collection of scenic photos shots on various versions of iPhones over the last several years and one Nikon D3200 I used to have. You can buy some of my prints at All About Grace (view their Facebook Page) home-decor boutique in downtown Trenton, Michigan. You can also buy prints directly from me if you can find me.

Here you can view the lower-resolution version of my photos to get an idea of what they look like and determine whether any of my works will fit nicely in your home or office decor.

Date Taken: Sat. 08/24/2019 20:40 (8:40pm)
Description: A personal favorite of mine. This sunset photo was shot in South Rockwood, Michigan near where the Huron River meets Lake Erie. I love most how the sunset transtion is from right to left versus most sunset/sunrise photos being vertical.

Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Sat. 09/22/2018 19:36 (7:36pm)
Description: I was at the Romulus Pumpkin festival on the evening this photo was taken. I noticed the swirling of the clouds and thought of how beautiful they were. Being close to the local post office gave me the idea to include their American Flag in the photo.

Date Taken: Sat. 10/30/2021 11:44 (11:44am)
Description: Driving through Oakwoods Metropark near Flat, Michigan, I noticed a couple trees close to each other full of more than one autumn color. To me they looked gorgeous together. A beautiful representation of fall.

Date Taken: Mon. 05/13/2019 20:33 (8:33pm)
Description: While leaving Oakwoods Metropark near Flat Rock, Michigan after working for a few hours inside the park, there was a section of trees with the setting sun behind them that caught my eye. It just seemed like a nice scenic photo waiting to be shot.
Photo #8
Camera: iPhone 6s
Date Taken: Mon. 08/22/2016 06:12 (6:12am)
Description: While working early in the morning at the McNamara terminal of Detroit Metro Airport, I noticed twilight sky was a very nice transition from light to dark. I consider this photo to be a city-scape style photo.
Photo #9
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Mon. 06/28/2021 21:35 (9:35pm)
Description: Some people absolutely hate Spirit Airlines but I think anybody will agree this is a pretty cool shot. This was taken right after a summer thunderstorm passed over Detroit Metro Airport. The reflection off the water on the taxiway is the nice touch to this photo.
Photo #10
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Sat. 08/24/2019 20:42 (8:42pm)
Description: A sister photo to Photo #1, I was driving around looking for different vantage points of this gorgeous sunset. This is a cool photo but I’m still the biggest fan to Photo #1.
Photo #11
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Mon. 07/15/2019 21:05 (9:05pm)
Description: A sister photo to Photo # 12, this photo is closer to the regular exposure of most photos, maybe slightly darker. I really like the transition of the sky from light-blue to darker-blue along with the various colors of the clouds in the foreground.
Photo #12
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Mon. 07/15/2019 21:05 (9:05pm)
Description: A sister photo to Photo #11, I lowered the exposure to let the brightest of light stand out. I’d say that it came out pretty well.
Photo #13
Camera: iPhone 6s
Date Taken: Tue. 12/20/2016 07:41 (7:41am)
Description: Working a double shift at the airport for Christmas travel season, I got to witness this gorgeous sunrise. Fun fact: A few minutes after I took this photo, I was helping a traveling customer who was blind and had a guide dog which was wearing the most adorable neck tie. He looked like a professional working dog to say the least.
Photo #14
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Thu. 10/07/2021 18:53 (6:53pm)
Description: The aircraft in the picture belongs to Royal Jordanian airlines. I was paying more attention to the golden yellow color transition of the sky. I didn’t notice the suns placement at the tip of the wing until some months after I shot this photo. Cool photo if I do say so myself.
Photo #15
Camera: iPhone 7 Plus
Date Taken: Thu. 10/19/2017 19:01 (7:01pm)
Description: Having visiting a family meme we staying at a local hotel by Detroit Metro Airport, I happened to notice how pink the sunset sky was. I just so happened to be in a position where the tall bare winter tree was in the way. It actually was a good thing the tree was in the way because it appeared the fluffy pink clouds were trying to hide behind the tree. And this is where I discovered my love of colorful sunrise and sunset skies behind bare trees.
