William J. Blackburn Photography

Welcome to my collection of scenic photos shots on various versions of iPhones over the last several years and one Nikon D3200 I used to have. You can buy some of my prints at All About Grace (view their Facebook Page) home-decor boutique in downtown Trenton, Michigan. You can also buy prints directly from me if you can find me.

Here you can view the lower-resolution version of my photos to get an idea of what they look like and determine whether any of my works will fit nicely in your home or office decor.

Photo #16
Camera: iPhone 6s
Date Taken: Mon. 05/29/2017 20:53 (8:53pm)
Description: Shot near the property of Detroit Metro Airport. I love the combination of the sky’s transition from orange to light blue and the two different colors of clouds. This is truly a gorgeous photo.
Photo #17
Camera: iPhone 7 Plus
Date Taken: Sun. 08/20/2017 19:51 (7:51pm)
Description: While waiting for customers to finish paddling their trip on the Huron River from Flat Rock to West Jefferson, I remember looking up and seeing a batch of clouds surrounded by separated clouds. It looked like a good photo opportunity. I was at a little park and boat launch called Hull’s Trace which has a little history of involvement during the War of 1812.
Photo #18
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Thu. 08/29/2019 19:19 (7:19pm)

Photo #19
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Fri. 08/30/2019 20:22 (8:22pm)
Description: Shot at Detroit Metro Airport. Sister photo to Photo #20. I guess you could say this is just another sunset photo.
Photo #20
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Fri. 08/30/2019 20:04 (8:04pm)
Description: Shot at Detroit Metro Airport. Sister photo to Photo #19. It’s always cool to have an airplane fly by a sunrise or sunset sky. I just wish the plane in this pic was a widebody.
Photo #21
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Mon. 10/29/2018 18:08 (6:08pm)
Description: Shot at Cedar Knoll Picnic Area inside Oakwoods Metropark which is where I work at a boat rental business. This is it my favorite autumn photo but it exists in my collection.
Photo #22
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Tue. 11/23/2021 17:27 (5:27pm)
Description: Shot at Detroit Metro Airport. Sometimes I like to considerably lower the exposure when taking photos and they usually turn out very well.
Photo #23
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Mon. 12/13/2021 17:19 (5:19pm)
Description: With a Royal Jordanian airlines Dreamliner in the foreground, the reddish clouds behind it are beautiful.
Photo #24
Camera: iPhone 6s
Date Taken: Sun. 10/09/2016 18:51 (6:51pm)
Description: Shot at what is now Atwater Street Tacos and Atwater Paddles in downtown Flat Rock, MI. The outline of the twin pines in this photos in front of the beautiful sunset sky makes this photo a favorite of mine.
Photo #25
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Sat. 12/25/2021 03:39 (3:39am)
Description: Sister photo of Photo #27. I was driving around the New Boston, MI. area looking for Christmas decoration set ups. I found one house with pine trees lined up along one side of the driveway and each tree was decorated with lights in a pattern of solid red, green, and white. It’s was a very pleasant sight to see. From the city easement I was able to capture the beautiful sight from my phone.
Photo #26
Camera: iPhone 8 Plus
Date Taken: Wed. 06/05/2019 20:53 (8:53pm)
Description: Shot from the parking garage of what is now the Evans Terminal of Detroit Metro Airport. I’d say most rainbow photos show full rainbows from one side to the other. I use this photo to show that even partial rainbows can be just as beautiful.
Photo #27
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Sat. 12/25/2021 03:36 (3:36am)
Description: Sister photo to Photo #25. Please read the description of that photo for my details of this photo.
Photo #28
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Sun. 11/07/2021 15:10 (3:10pm)
Description: Thanks to the Michigan State University Outdoors Club for introducing me to Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, MI. Their paddlesporting race dubbed Campus to Coast which runs on the Red Cedar River and the Grand River from Lansing to Grand Haven (where the Grand River meets Lake Michigan). The Grand River flows through Fitzgerald Park which is a gorgeous county operated park with lots of hiking trails and scenic views. There is a dam in the park and the small lake in this photo exists because of the dam. I think everyone should visit this park at least once in their lifetime.
Photo #29
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Sun. 02/06/2022 06:52 (6:52am)
Description: After working the midnight shift at the airport, I got home at dawn and noticed the sky was a nice gray transition from light to dark. This photo was shot from the end of my driveway. This shot continues my love of bare trees in front of a sunrise/sunset sky.
Photo #30
Camera: iPhone 12 Pro Max
Date Taken: Tue. 03/01/2022 15:33 (3:33pm)
Description: My very first long-distance vacation on my own was to Las Vegas for three days for fun, and Denver, Colorado for one day to visit family. Looking at the map around Las Vegas I spotted Red Rock Canyon near the city and decided to add it to my list of places to visit the day I had planned to get a rental car. Hoover Dam was the other place I had on my list. I will say Red Rock Canyon did not disappoint. I really love the way this photo turned out. It’s definitely at the top of my favorites list.
